Guest Ratings & Reviews
Staying at this B & B was a real treat. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, making my stay a delight, although a bit more storage would have been handy. The service was exceptional overall, with Dave and Katy being amazing hosts, but unfortunately, there was an isolated incident of unpleasant attitude from one staff member at breakfast, which was disappointing. The location couldn't have been better, ideal for exploring the city's attractions on foot. The dining experience in the restaurant below was very nice, serving delicious food, although it did require going down some steps. The facilities were top-notch, offering everything I needed for a pleasant stay.
The hotel had fantastic rooms that were very quiet and had everything we needed. The warm ambiance was truly appreciated. The service couldn't have been nicer, especially when we were stranded in Edinburgh due to storm Ciara. The location was perfect for a tourist trip, being centrally located near various attractions and dining options. The dining experience was fabulous, especially at the restaurant next door. The hotel offered great facilities to enhance our stay.
My stay at the hotel was fantastic! The rooms were extremely clean and good size, making them very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The service was top-notch, with staff being very professional and helpful, especially in planning trips. The location couldn't have been better, being very close to the city center, making it super convenient for exploration. The dining experience was delicious, with a good selection of dishes offered. Overall, a great stay with excellent value for money.
My stay at the hotel was delightful. The rooms were beautiful with high ceilings, clean, and inviting, offering plenty of amenities. They were large, airy, very clean, and had a lovely view of the cobbled streets and the castle. The size and comfort were outstanding, and having Sky TV was a real bonus. The service was top-notch, always making sure everything was okay and being very attentive during our visit to the bar. The central location was spot-on, allowing for a pleasant rest to tackle the next day's adventures with ease. The dining experience went beyond my expectations, with a lovely risotto and a nice surprise of added breakfast options. The facilities were excellent, meeting all our needs and adding to our enjoyable stay.
The hotel is very spacious, with a bit of a damp smell that we noticed whenever we entered, but overall, I could not recommend more highly. The lack of cleanliness on the 2nd day and the absence of a lift, especially if placed on the top floor, were drawbacks to an otherwise fantastic stay.
The hotel is perfectly situated for a girly weekend of shopping, eating, and drinking. The rooms are centrally located but can feel a bit claustrophobic due to the slant. The service was accommodating, although navigating the long flight of stairs alone was a bit daunting after a tiring flight. The hotel's proximity to Thistle Street with its array of restaurants is a major plus, while the noise from nearby activities can be a minor inconvenience for light sleepers.
